Laura Castillo has known about this for years, but she decided to post about it online only after having shared the very useful hack with her mother.

According to her, her mum recently moved closer so she could be more familiar with her grandkids.

However, Laura’s mother complained that she always struggled with lifting them into the grocery cart when they went shopping. This, of course, was due to a permanent disability she had because of her multiple back problems.

Unwilling to let her mom’s bad back get worse, she shared the ‘trick’ with her. It turns out it’s one very good tip.

By simply lifting up the front cart panel, one can create a kid-sized doggie door, erasing the need to lift them into the cart.

She recorded the trick as she taught her mother and shared it online afterwards. The original video has since garnered more than 3 million views. And why not? The front cart panel, which was originally meant to enable the carts to join together to form a long train, has finally been given a much better use.

Laura let on that she learned the hack several years back from a mom who has a disabled kid.

This trick is nothing but a godsend to parents and guardians with a bad back. Grocery shopping with kids just got a thousand times easier.
