What is grout?
You might be thinking, ‘yeah that dirty stuff between the tiles’ or ‘the cement between the tiles’ or just straight up ‘that stuff that gives me extra work.’
Well, you're not so far from the truth. Grout, according to the Ceramic Tile Institute Of America is a product consisting of carefully graded aggregate, Portland cement, water dispersing agents, plasticizers and colorfast pigments.

Attacking your grout efficiently
Even the name sounds difficult and grumpy. Grout is more challenging to clean because it is made up of sand particles which allow water to pass through leaving the dirt to settle on the surface.
The one solution to maintaining a clean grout is cleaning it regularly. At least two or three times a week with a cleaning product that is used for removing soap scum.
