But let’s be honest, the most exciting part of the event is the stars’ red carpet appearances. This year, the guests of honor were the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The royal couple stepped out all glammed-up, but their incredibly awkward entrance was surely one of the most memorable moments of the evening.

The uncomfortable silence

When the Duke and Duchess entered the Royal Albert Hall, the chatter and laughter disappeared within a second, and auditorium fell completely silent. The royal pair awkwardly walked to their seats, accompanied only by the camera flashing sounds and the clunks of Kate’s shoes.

The moment was so awkward that the Duchess appeared to say to her husband:

It's so quiet.

William undoubtedly felt it too, as he replied:

Let's sit down quickly.

Why did the A-List guests suddenly fell so silent? Perhaps they didn’t utter a sound out of respect for Prince William and his wife. Or maybe, they were mesmerized by how stunning the royal mom-of-three looked.

The Duchess gave off bridal vibes in a jaw-dropping white gown, which is believed to be the creation of her favorite designer, Alexander McQueen. Her angelic look would make anyone speechless, don’t you think?
