The grueling diagnose was like a big black cloud above the Jeong family but Ken’s sense of humor and the unexpected help that came in the face of Bradley Cooper became the ray of light in it.
The helpful colleague
Ken Jeong landed his iconic role in the 2009 hit movie The Hangover at the time when Tran was going through an arduous chemotherapy treatment to beat her breast cancer. But, as it turns out, Jeong’s co-star Bradley Cooper was there to offer the support.
The comedian shared a touching story about how Cooper helped him out during a difficult time when they were filming in Vegas. When talking with Entertainment Tonight, Jeong revealed:
He drove me from Vegas to LA to be with Tran.
Moreover, the Jeong family used to spend holidays with A Star Is Born actor. Ken commented:
Tran was too weak from the chemo and couldn't travel. So we were in LA for the holidays and Bradley had us come over to his place to be with his family. It got me through the most difficult period of my life.
How sweet is that? We had no idea that Bradley has such a kind heart.
Bradley and Ken appeared together in three parts of The Hangover, which propelled Jeong, who is a professional physician, to fame.
