Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tied the knot on Saturday, on May 19, in the most long-awaited event of the year! Their wedding is only the beginning of a long and happy life. However, Meghan Markle had to give up her old lifestyle and adjust to the new life of the British royalty.

For one thing, Meghan was an American actress who never had any ties to British royalty or even to Britain itself. So one would imagine that a lot of things was new to her and there is much more to get used to after the marriage.

4. Her official name has changed

Even though Kate Middleton is still often referred to by her name, her official name is actually, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, because the royal family only stick with the first name. Meghan Markle is now the Duchess of Sussex, and this is one more thing she needs to get used to.

5. Her wardrobe changed

Where she was once comfortable with short skirts and questionable outfits, she had to class things up after her engagement with the Prince.

Meghan was raised as a Protestant. However, as a member of the royal family, she was baptized into the church of England.

13. She will become a British citizen

The British Royal Family has actually confirmed this development.

Meghan herself admitted, during the engagement interview, that all the attention and scrutiny she has been facing were quite unexpected. We doubt this will let up anytime soon.

15. No magazine covers

Meghan covered Vanity Fair last year, where she talked about her love for Harry. We don't think this will be happening again.

When a person gets married, a few changes are to be expected. In this case, Meghan has become an actual royalty and we bet she does not mind making a few adjustments for this purpose.
