8-Years-Old Girl Is Surrounded By Sweetness As She Is Buried Under A Pile Of Happy Rescued Puppies
An 8-years-old girl named Sofia Rook tried to defend herself against some exuberant puppies but at the end of the day, they overcame her resolve due to their sheer adorableness.
Emily Rook took and shared a picture of her daughter having the best day with the puppies who seemed very eager that Sofia came to visit. The little girl was happily cuddling the pups at their local animal shelter.
Emily, who was an animal care technician at the Humane Society of Washington County, Maryland, took Sofia to work with her on their 'bring your daughter to work' day.
The CEO of the shelter, Kim Intino, said that the organisation was founded in 1921 and since then, they have helped a lot of domestic animals who needed home.
Sofia, who is too young to volunteer (the official age to volunteer is 12), went with her mother so she could help with the foster animals they take in. The girl was only too happy to assist with feeding and providing company to the animals before they were adopted.
Sofia and her mother were no strangers to fostering animals who needed a place to recover until they found a forever home. They have both been offering their homes to their four-legged friends for more than four years and at the time, they had opened their homes to 10 foster animals. A lot of them had been abused or neglected in their former homes.
Emily said her daughter was great with animals and she loved them very much. She would feed them and even offer her company whenever they needed it.
"She is truly an animal whisperer and connects with them in a way that still amazes me," the proud mother said.
Emily imagined that someday in the future, Sofia would be involved in animal care in some form or another.
