2 Mums Were Furious After Daycare Waxed Their Toddlers' Eyebrows
Mothers are very careful about the daycares they choose for their little ones. We want a place we can trust and a place we can feel comfortable leaving our babies at.
Unfortunately, not all daycares take their responsibilities seriously. A daycare service was under fire recently after two different mums accused them of waxing their respective toddler's eyebrows without consent.
Last week, a woman named Alyssa Salgado dropped off her 2-year-old daughter off at the daycare.
When she returned to pick her up, she noticed a red mark between the toddler's eyebrows.
At first, she thought it was just a scratch but on a closer look, she realised that her daughter's unibrow must have been waxed.
She took to Facebook to share her experience adding that when she went to the daycare director with her suspicions, she was basically dismissed.
Salgado was extremely upset that the staff thought it was okay to do that to her baby without their permission;
Imagine if this was your son or daughter and if they were waxing them. I can imagine her calling out, 'Mommy,' and I wasn't there to protect her. I failed her.
Coincidentally, on the same day, another woman named Glenda Maria Cruz also shared a Facebook post saying that same daycare also waxed her 1-year-old son's eyebrows.
Sharing a similar pain with Salgado, Cruz wrote:
My son can't talk and I don't know what he has been through and it's really hard ... because he's just a baby. He can't defend himself.
Cruz also added that when she brought up the issue with the management at the daycare, she was treated with scepticism. They also denied that any waxing ever occurred.
Tri-City Herald reported that investigations are ongoing on the matter with the aim of providing these mothers with much-needed answers.
