No one's life is perfect. Everyone has his or her own struggles. But the thing to always remember is that you can always overcome what brings you down. If you need a little bit of inspiration, then hearing stories of people who have triumphed over the toughest situations can serve as that boost to the spirit that you need.

Kanya Amberlee Sesser did not have the best start in life. She was abandoned as an infant on the side of the road in Thailand.

The kind people who found her unwrapped her from her blanket and discovered the newborn had no legs. It was believed that she was born that way as there was no scarring on the baby's legs or any evidence that there was any trauma.

As Kanya grew up, she began getting used to living life with no legs. But instead of feeling pity for herself, she embraced her disability and found ways to lead a full life.

Today, Kanya lives in Los Angeles where she works as a stunning and positive model. In fact, she does not like to refer to herself as disabled, she's simply "uniquely different."

Kanya does not let her condition keep her from having a great time and letting her inner light shine. She considers herself an extrovert and she calls the shots when it comes to her own life.

Because she has no legs, Kanya can only move with her hands. She also skateboards and surfs.

On her secret to maintaining such an optimistic outlook, Kanya said she is grateful for the love and support she receives from her adoptive family. Of course, growing up, she experienced her own share of bullying and hate, but she soon learned to ignore the negative people.

She has been modeling since she was 15 and she loves it. But now, Kanya is looking into a career as a motivational speaker. She wants to encourage others who are 'uniquely different' in their own way.

I don’t see life as a problem living without legs. I see it as, ‘if there’s a will, there’s a way’. I can find my way to adapt.

She also has some words of advice for anyone feeling different, depressed or simply looking for motivation:

Be yourself. Focus on yourself and make yourself better than yesterday. Don’t take life too seriously and don’t blow it off like it’s nothing.

This woman is a reminder to everyone that anything is possible.
