'She'd Have Been The Naughtiest.' Sarah Ferguson Described What Type Of Grandma Princess Diana Would Have Been
According to Sarah, Duchess of York, Princess Diana would have been the funniest grandmother if she were still alive to meet Prince William's children.
Sarah was once a close friend of the late princess and she had only glowing words for her when she was a guest on The Meredith Vieira Show a couple of years ago.
The host, Meredith Vieira, asked Sarah her opinion of what kind of grandmother Diana would have been if she got to meet her grandson, George. Sarah replied:
She would have just been the naughtiest, funniest and the best ever, just because she loved her boys so much and she would be so proud of all of them and what they've achieved.
She also praised Catherine, Prince William's wife, by describing her as "incredible."
"I just think it is all goodness and we need to hear more about goodness, and Diana would have loved that," she added.
In the interview, she said Prince William and his family were a beautiful example of a loving family and that George was "delicious."
Despite her past with the royal family, Sarah Ferguson was not holding any grudges. In fact, she defended her husband, Prince Andrew. The pair divorced in 1996 after 10 years of marriage.
She described him as "one of the greatest men" she had ever met and even said he was a good friend and a great father. Clearly, even though their marriage did not work out, the exes were doing a swell job of co-parenting their children.
In a more recent interview with Hello Magazine, Sarah also had a few words about who she was as a mother. The mum to Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie said:
I think the one thing I’ve done incredibly well – although I say it myself – is that I’m a really good mom. And I think that my girls show that.
Sarah Ferguson was honored to be a guest at late Diana's son's wedding. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle included Ferguson to the royal wedding guest list on May 19.
Without a doubt, late Princess Diana would have been grateful to witness this kind of respect for her friend.
We can certainly agree with Sarah's opinion about Princess Diana. The late royal family member seemed to be very loving towards her son and we bet she would have been even more so for her grandkids.
She would have been a busy grandmom, and now, when Prince Harry has started a family too, she would be happy to babysit his children as well.
Considering that, the glorious event on May 19, when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wed, makes us all expect the news of another royal pregnancy!
