What's life without some little conspiracy theories here and there? This one is particularly special because we can totally see where the believers are coming from.

Prince Charles and Diana had two boys together - William and Harry. At least, that's what we've been told. However, there are some people who believe that Charles may not be Harry's real father, and that the man who fathered Harry is none other than James Hewitt, who once admitted that he had an affair with Princess Diana.

Over the years, Harry's paternity has continued to evoke whispers and raise eyebrows mostly because some believe that his real father is actually Princess Diana's riding instructor, James Hewitt.

We can't blame those who stand by this theory. Apart from the fact that James and Diana were known lovers, it's also easy to spot the resemblance between James and Harry. In fact, one might say they look almost identical.

In 1986, Princess Diana started an affair with Hewitt - a relationship which went on for five years. She herself confirmed this during a BBC interview in 1995.

James was also not at all shy about sharing how Diana made him feel. In a separate interview, he said that he never intended to fall in love with Diana but "circumstances kept throwing us together."

James and Diana seemed to be deeply in love. In fact, they each reportedly nursed the hope that they would spend the rest of their lives together. However, when the news of their affair exploded in the media, the relationship simply could not survive the scrutiny. "It just fizzled out," James confessed.

But is there a chance that Diana may have had a bun in the oven during the relationship? Well, this has been vehemently denied by the royal family and by James himself.

In 2002, James told Sunday Mirror that there is no way he's Harry's father because Diana's son was already a toddler when they met. He admitted that they might look alike, but that did not mean anything.

That same year, Ken Wharfe, who was Diana's bodyguard, wrote a book titled Diana: Closely Guarded Secret. In it, he confirmed that Di met James in 1986, at which time Harry was already two years old.

Just last year, James had to shoot down those rumors again on an Australian TV show saying, "it's worse for [Harry than it is for me], probably, poor chap."

Ok, so odds are James really isn't Prince Harry's dad, but the idea has been planted - and grown - in some people's minds.
