Hockey Player Breastfeeds Her Baby In The Locker Room: Picture Causes A Huge Stir On Social Media
The picture that stirred up Facebook users is just a young mother breastfeeding her child. But there are two more things to add: she is uncovered, and she is doing it in the locker room before her hockey game.
Serah Small, a young mother from Alberta, Canada, has been playing hockey her entire life. When she became a mother, it did not stop her doing what she loves, but with additional responsibilities and duties, Small is trying to find a balance.
The hockey player takes her 8-week-old newborn daughter to games and even feeds her before putting on her uniform.
The hockey player breastfeeds her little baby uncovered, and even posted a picture on her own Facebook page. She was not embarrassed: on the contrary, felt empowered to inspire new moms and show them how important it is to enjoy this process of bonding with their babies. Her intimate picture was welcomed by many approving comments.
The woman did not do it for the camera. She had no idea her mom was taking a photo at that moment! But when she saw the photo, she felt the urge to share it as a message!
She revealed to HuffPost Canada, that at first she felt awkward breastfeeding in public. She used to cover herself but found it too uncomfortable and she could not help her baby. Later it occurred to her that people who found the view disturbing could just look away!

Serah Small opened up that she wanted to remove the stigma from breastfeeding and normalize it. That precious moment of bonding with her baby girl in the locker room is something she would never miss!
