Traveling is the gate which opens something new to explore, when we go to the restaurant in a different country we explore its cuisine as well. And surprisingly we realize that the same product we cook at home tastes absolutely different. It happens because every country has its own spice use. These little jars with spices and herbs we also have at the kitchen are meant to bring the different taste, but how come we started seasoning our food and why? And one more question appears – do spices bring any health benefits?

The study shows that in hot climate countries spices were used to prevent food poisoning, as they did not use any refrigerator and bacteria was growing so fast.

Now the variety of spices is overwhelming as it can be imported from anywhere it is cultivated. But they are to be used differently, because some healthy properties are neutralized by the heat. You may need to keep them sealed tightly in a glass jars, away from the sun-rays and heat of the over. Be sure your spices are fresh, over time they lose their flavor, so it is better to buy a usable amount at a time. In Addition, you can experiment with your cooking, giving the same dish different taste. Trust yourself and be creative!
