Prince William and his brother Prince Harry have always had a passion for motorbikes since they were young kids. However, a year ago, the older prince revealed that he might be done riding.

Speaking about his love for the hobby with Jonathan Rea, a World Superbike champion, the royal said he was putting his motorcycle-riding days behind him mainly because he's a father now.

His decision may also have something to do with the fact that his wife, Kate Middleton once said she was "filled with horror" whenever Prince William drove his motorbike.

"It always fills me with horror when he goes out on it‎," the soon-to-be mother of three told a well-wisher in Scotland.

William officially opened the Triumph Motorcycles Factory Visitor Experience during his visit to Hinckley. The event showcased a collection of some of the major achievements in motorcycle design, engineering, and racing. He described the experience as "amazing."

Speaking about why he loved riding a motorbike so much, the Duke was once quoted as saying:

I've always had a passion for motorbikes ever since I was very small. I used to do a lot of go-karting when I was younger and then after that, I went on to quad bikes and eventually motorbikes.

He went on to add that the motorcycle helmet provides a certain level of anonymity which makes him freer and much more relaxed.

We can certainly see his point. When you've spent your whole life being the center of attention, anything that provides some obscurity, especially when it's something you truly love, is very welcome.
