This particular cleaning solution only requires three things - dishwashing liquid, vinegar, and water. We all know that bathrooms harbor a lot of germs but the good news is, vinegar is not only a great disinfectant, it also helps get read of less-than-pleasant odors.

So, let's get to making our cleaning mixture, shall we? Here are specific measurements you should know.

  • 1.5 cups dishwashing liquid (blue Dawn is recommended)
  • 1.5 cups white vinegar
  • 1 spray bottle.

And this is what we do:

1. Heat up the vinegar in a microwave. When it's hot, pour into your spray bottle.

2. To the vinegar, add the dishwashing liquid. Put the lid of your bottle back on and then shake until the vinegar and soap are well mixed.

3. Spray a generous amount of this solution in your shower, tub, toilet and/or sink. Leave to soak for 30 minutes.

4. When the time is up, scrub the surface gently. In fact, this hack is so good, you may not even need to scrub, all you have to do is rinse off the dirt.
