Duchess Catherine Turned 37. Let's Take A Glimpse Into Her Life Before She Became A Member Of Royal Family

Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, turned 37 in on January 9, 2019! She is known as a wonderful mother, devoted wife, and philanthropist. The whole world has been following her every step ever since she became a member of the British Royal Family, and that is a huge responsibility.

Did she expect this kind of future when she was just a student? Obviously, Catherine's life changed a lot after marrying Prince William. Let’s remember what kind of life she had before joining the royal family.

1. Kate confessed that she had a nickname during school days: They called her "Squeak" at St Andrew's, in Pangbourne, Berkshire.

2. Kate was known as a bright student in sciences and sports. She was quite successful in playing hockey, tennis, netball, and rounders.

3. In her early years, Middleton changed schools. She left the exclusive Downe House all-girls boarding school when she was 14 because of bullying from other students.

4. She graduated from the University of St. Andrew’s with a degree in the History of Art.

5.  After graduation, she got herself a job! In 2006 she worked as an accessory buyer in British retailer Jigsaw. Her former boss commented that he was “impressed” by her personality.

6. Kate’s parents owned an event planning company, so after Jigsaw she worked with them as a photographer, website designer, and marketing officer.

7. Kate could have been in business with her brother James! In 2010, they were talking about starting a new bakery to encourage kids to cook and bake cakes.

8. Before marrying Prince William, Kate resided in London with her sister Pippa. They lived in a small apartment their parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, bought for their daughters and son.

9. She loved going out with friends to popular London places as Boujis, Mahiki, and Bunga Bunga.

10. Kate and William started daiting in 2002, but they broke up in 2007. However, official statements say they got back together only a few months later.
