Children grow up fast! Norwegian princess Ingrid Alexandra turned 14 on the 21st of January and she is turning into a charming young lady after being a cute child.

The spitting image of her mother, Princess Mette-Marit, Ingrid already has her followers and fans. She is the second in line to succeed her grandfather, King Harald V, to the Norwegian throne.

Before she starts being fully engaged in royal duties she is enjoying her childhood as much as she can.

She has become one of the favorite members of Norwegian royal family, and she loves her status.

Ingrid’s parents, Princess Mette-Marit and Prince Haakon, wanted their little girl to have a normal childhood, make friends and not be overwhelmed with publicity, so they sent her to the local Jansløkka elementary school.

It was an exception, as usually royal children are sent away to schools in Oslo.  In 2016 though, Ingrid started the private English-language Oslo International School. Her parents’ choice was explained by their desire for the young princess to be fluent in English.

Princess Ingrid has started to become more public, and it is not surprising, as she is expected to become more involved in royal activities.

She has participated in traditional Constitution Day celebrations and the traditional ski jumping tournament at Holmenkollen in Oslo.

In 2016, the Princess was a part of the opening ceremony of the Winter Youth Olympics in Lillehammer.
