1. Dry shampoo. First and foremost, baking soda can be used as a cleansing agent. Sprinkle soda on the roots of your hair and tousle it. The results will impress you, especially when you consider how little it costs.

2. Anti-plaque mouth rinse. Take 1 tsp of baking soda and mix it with 1 glass of water. It's an easy and cheap oral rinse that neutralizes all types of odors.

3. Natural deodorant. You won't need any chemical deodorants after trying this organic antiperspirant made of baking soda, coconut oil, arrowroot powder, and your favorite essential oils. Using a natural deodorant is especially good if you have a sensitive skin type.

4. Skin treatment tool. If you have acne, try a face mask made from honey and baking soda. You should apply the mixture for 15 minutes and rinse.

Also, try making a soda scrub and adding it to your usual facial cleanser. Massage the paste into your skin and watch how it becomes exfoliated and softened.

5. Insect bite relieving tool. To minimize skin irritation, take baking soda and water, mix them together to form a paste and apply onto the affected areas of skin.

2. Grease gutting. Add a dosing spoon of soda to your usual dish soap and use this mixture to cut through grease more easily.

3. Air freshener. Paradoxically, all air fresheners available on the market are full of toxic chemicals that are dangerous to inhale. Try making your own non-toxic air freshener instead, it's as easy, as 1,2,3. All you'll need is distilled water, essential oils, and, of course, baking soda.

4. Polishing tool. Take 1 part water and 2 parts baking soda, mix them together and rub onto the furniture or silver flatware with a sponge or a clean cloth. You'll see how your flatware shines beautifully again.

5. Refrigerator deodorant. Place an open soda box at the back of the fridge to neutralize all the odors. But make sure you change it regularly, once every couple of months.
